Domino's Pizza Launches Individual Detroit-Style Domino Pizza
Domino's Pizza Inc. will launch the Domino, a customizable individual-sized Detroit-style pizza, nationwide on August 31.
Domino's Pizza Inc. is introducing a new individual-sized Detroit-style pizza called the Domino, scheduled for a nationwide release on August 31. The pizza is shaped like the company logo and baked in a rectangular pan, featuring a crispy Parmesan crust, two layers of cheese, a choice of sauce, and up to three toppings finished with a garlic seasoning drizzle.
The product targets on-the-go lunches and late-night snacks by offering more portability and customization than traditional pizzas. To drive sales, the company is adding the two-topping Domino to its Mix and Match Deal, where customers can purchase two or more menu items for $6.99 each.
Joe Jordan, the company's Chief Operating Officer and incoming CEO, stated that the new offering fills a gap in the corporate portfolio. He noted that traditional pizza falls short when customers have differing preferences, whereas the Domino allows each person to build a pizza tailored to their specific wants.
