This figure represents a 138 percent increase compared to the ₹685 crore earned in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Revenue for the period remained relatively flat year-on-year at ₹26,246 crore.
Despite the annual growth, the company experienced a sequential decline in earnings. Management attributed moderated production during the quarter to advanced scheduled repair and maintenance, which was necessitated by geopolitical volatility. Chairman and Managing Director Ashok Kumar Panda stated that the results were driven by operational efficiencies and prudent cost management in the face of global uncertainties.
