Armani Open to Multiple Investors for 15% Stake Sale
Armani CEO Giuseppe Marsocci announced the luxury group may sell a 15% stake to multiple investors to fulfill the late founder's will.
Giuseppe Marsocci, CEO of Armani, announced that the Italian luxury group is open to selling a 15% stake to multiple investors rather than a single buyer. The sale is mandated by the will of founder Giorgio Armani, who died in September 2025 at age 91.
The will stipulates that this initial 15% sale must occur between 12 and 18 months after the founder's death, with a larger stake disposal or a public listing to follow. While Giorgio Armani identified LVMH, L'Oreal, and EssilorLuxottica as preferred buyers, Marsocci stated the company remains open to other investors of equal standing.
Marsocci confirmed the group intends to follow the founder's timetable, provided agreements are reached on price and specific details. In a separate move to drive growth in the accessories sector, the company appointed former Versace designer Dario Vitale as creative director of Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani accessories.
