Azerbaijan Transits Russian Wheat and Coal to Armenia

Azerbaijan Railways is transporting Russian wheat and coal shipments to Armenia as part of an expanding regional transport network.

Azerbaijan Railways CJSC is facilitating the transit of Russian wheat and coal shipments to Armenia, with a recent consignment departing from Bilajari station in Baku toward the Azerbaijan-Georgia border at Boyuk Kesik. This specific shipment includes 15 railcars carrying 1,049 tonnes of wheat and 10 railcars carrying 700 tonnes of coal.

These movements are part of a broader regional transport expansion. Azerbaijan has already transited more than 37,000 tonnes of grain and 67,000 tonnes of timber from Russia to Armenia. In addition to managing these transits, Azerbaijan has directly exported approximately 15,000 tonnes of diesel fuel and 5,000 tonnes of gasoline to Armenia.
