Tempus AI Executive Sells $1.5 Million in Shares
Andrew Polovin, Chief Legal Officer of Tempus AI, sold 30,075 shares to cover tax obligations amid a recent stock rally.
Andrew Polovin, the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Tempus AI, Inc., sold 30,075 shares of company stock for approximately $1.5 million. According to a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, the sale was executed at a weighted average price of $51.29 per share.
The transaction was non-discretionary and conducted under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan established on August 12, 2025. The sale specifically served to cover statutory tax withholding obligations resulting from the vesting of restricted stock units. Polovin continues to hold 138,140 shares, which were valued at roughly $8.5 million as of August 19, 2026.
The sale follows a period of significant growth for the company, with stock prices rallying about 75% since late last month. This surge was driven by a cancer vaccine trial involving Moderna and Merck that validated the company's genomic sequencing technology. While Tempus AI reports a trailing twelve-month net loss of $254.4 million, CEO Eric Lefkofsky recently noted the company achieved its first GAAP profit in the last quarter, with revenue rising 22% to $382.5 million.
