BJP Accuses Punjab Government of Repressing Striking Employees

Bharatiya Janata Party national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia accused the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab of implementing repressive policies against government employees currently on strike. The employees are protesting to secure the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme, payment of Dearness Allowance, and the resolution of other pending issues.

Bhatia condemned a government order to list and penalize employees participating in the strike, describing the administration as a "Hitler-like government." He specifically criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for refusing to enter negotiations until the strike is called off.

Beyond the labor dispute, Bhatia alleged that the AAP government failed to deliver on electoral promises, including financial assistance for women. He accused the party of double standards, arguing that the administration now opposes the very methods of protest that helped the party rise to power.
