Shiprocket Shares Surge 48% in US$1.05 Billion Market Debut
Shiprocket shares jumped nearly 48% on its market debut Wednesday, giving the Temasek-backed logistics firm a valuation of approximately US$1.05 billion.
Shares of Shiprocket surged as much as 48.6% during its market debut on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. The e-commerce enablement platform's stock ended at 143.50 rupees on the BSE and 143.45 rupees on the NSE, significantly exceeding the issue price of 97 rupees. The listing gave the company a market valuation of 10,440.74 crore rupees, or approximately US$1.05 billion.
The 1,617.5-crore rupee IPO was heavily oversubscribed 99.4 times, with institutional investors bidding 122.8 times their allocated portion. The offering consisted of a fresh equity issuance of 885.50 crore rupees and an offer-for-sale of 732 crore rupees. Shiprocket intends to use the proceeds to fund strategic acquisitions, expand its fulfillment and logistics network, repay borrowings, and invest in technology and marketing.
Founded a decade ago, the company provides shipping, fulfillment, and warehousing software for small merchants and direct-to-consumer brands. It is backed by Temasek, Zomato, and Bertelsmann India Investments, the latter of which first invested in 2015 and is maintaining a significant anchor stake post-IPO. The listing marks the third Temasek-backed company to go public in August 2026.
