Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 17 Series in China
Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro in China, featuring batteries up to 9,000mAh and Snapdragon processors.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 17 series in China on July 14, 2026, consisting of the standard Redmi Note 17 and the premium Redmi Note 17 Pro. Both models prioritize high battery capacity and large displays, with the standard model starting at CNY 1,300 and the Pro variant at CNY 1,600.
The standard Redmi Note 17 features a 7-inch 120Hz OLED display, an 8,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging, and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor. It is available in Light Green, Meteor Purple, Blue, and Dark Night. The device includes a 50MP AI camera, stereo speakers, and an IP65 rating.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro offers higher specifications, including a 6.83-inch 12-bit OLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. It is powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor and features a 9,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with 67W charging. Pro color options include Nebula Purple, Clear Blue, Black, and White, and the device carries IP68/IP69 ratings for durability.
The series is expected to launch in India by September or October. Early listings on the Bureau of Indian Standards website and leaks suggest an Indian variant may start at approximately Rs 34,990 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
