Roland Berger Director Highlights China's AI and Green Energy Synergy

Denis Depoux, the global managing director of the Munich-based consultancy Roland Berger, stated that China is evolving from a manufacturer into an innovator and trendsetter. In an interview with Xinhua ahead of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference, Depoux noted that China's commitment to multilateralism and free trade provides strategic stability amidst global market volatility and protectionism.

Depoux highlighted a specific competitive advantage emerging from the synergy between China's green energy capacity and its development of hyper-scale intelligent computing clusters. He argued that using renewable energy to power data centers significantly lowers the cost of AI computation, linking AI development directly to the green energy transition.

According to Depoux, these advancements create growth opportunities for multinational corporations. He emphasized that China is not only selling products but growing alongside the Global South by building new corridors of cooperation and maintaining resilient supply chains despite international tariffs and crises.
