EQT, a Swedish private equity firm, has hired JPMorgan to manage the sale of Parques Reunidos, a Spanish leisure group. The transaction is valued at approximately 1.7 billion euros.
EQT currently holds a 52% stake in the company, while Corporación Financiera Alba holds 25% and GBL holds 23%. Parques Reunidos operates more than 30 centers across Australia and nine European countries, including assets such as Parque Warner and the Parque de Atracciones de Madrid.
