ADP Research Study Finds Widespread AI Job Insecurity
ADP Research reports that only 22% of workers globally believe their jobs are safe from elimination due to artificial intelligence.
A global workforce sentiment study conducted by ADP Research reveals significant job insecurity and anxiety stemming from the integration of artificial intelligence. After surveying more than 39,000 workers across 36 countries, the organization found that only 22% of global employees believe their positions are safe from elimination.
Perceived security varies by seniority and geography. Entry-level staff reported the lowest confidence at 18%, while C-suite executives were the most confident group at 35%. Regionally, only 5% of workers in Japan feel secure, whereas Nigeria reported the highest confidence level at 38%.
ADP Research attributes these trends to a lack of corporate leadership in providing adequate upskilling and investment in human talent. The study notes that employees who believe their supervisors are investing in them are 5.3 times more likely to feel secure in their roles.
