US Central Command Launches Multinational Attack Drone Task Force

The United States Central Command announced the establishment of Task Force Falcon Strike on Thursday, creating the first multinational, multi-domain attack drone task force. The unit integrates one-way attack drones capable of operating above, on, and below the sea, utilizing personnel from the United States and regional partners.

This initiative expands upon Task Force Scorpion Strike, a dedicated one-way attack drone squadron launched nine months earlier. Scorpion Strike previously conducted strikes on Iranian port facilities in July and participated in Operation Epic Fury. Personnel from the Special Operations Command Central, headquartered at MacDill Air Force Base, will lead the staff for the new task force.

CENTCOM has begun inviting regional partners to join the force to build a unified multinational deterrent across the Middle East. Commander Brad Cooper stated that the task force will build on the success of Scorpion Strike by leveraging innovation among regional allies.
