UK Politicians Use AI Focus Groups for Policy Testing
United Kingdom politicians are employing AI-generated personas to rapidly and cheaply gauge voter reactions to policy messages.
Politicians in the United Kingdom are adopting AI-generated focus groups to test policy messages and gauge voter reactions. This shift toward synthetic data allows for more rapid feedback than traditional research methods.
Several firms are driving this transition. Startups Electric Twin and Artificial Societies, in collaboration with research firms GWI and Toluna, develop AI personas based on data from real surveys and focus groups. These synthetic cohorts simulate human responses to political messaging.
London-based Synthetic Respondents provides these services at a significantly lower price point than conventional research. The company charges $16 per project, a cost it claims is a thousandth of the expense associated with traditional focus group research.
