Mohan Yadav Launches Four New Direct Air Services in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched four new direct air services at Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal on August 9, 2026. Operated by Alliance Air, the new routes connect Bhopal to Rewa and Patna, while linking Rewa and Jabalpur to Kolkata. These services are designed to enhance intra-state connectivity between Bhopal and the Vindhya region, and inter-state links between Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal.

The initiative is part of the Madhya Pradesh Civil Aviation Policy-2025, which aims to boost tourism, trade, and economic activity. To ensure the sustainability of these domestic routes, the Government of Madhya Pradesh is providing Viability Gap Funding of up to Rs 10 lakh per round trip.

These four routes represent the final set of eight approved under the current policy. They follow an earlier phase of launches that included services to Delhi, Indore, Raipur, and Abu Dhabi. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, and Union Civil Aviation Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha.
