Mount Sinai Board Members Exit Amid Epstein Ties Review
Glenn and Eva Andersson-Dubin stepped down from Mount Sinai boards as the hospital reviews ties to late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Hedge fund billionaire Glenn Dubin and his wife, Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin, stepped down from the boards of Mount Sinai hospital and its Icahn School of Medicine earlier this year. Their departures coincide with the hospital's formation of a committee to review its historical ties to late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Department of Justice files revealed that Epstein's donations provided him with VIP status at the institution. This scrutiny includes an allegation that a Mount Sinai surgeon performed a medical procedure on a young woman inside Epstein's townhouse. The New York State Department of Health described these allegations as deeply troubling and stated they warrant review.
Mount Sinai officials stated the Dubins' terms ended in the spring and they did not seek re-election. A spokesperson for the couple asserted they would have severed ties with Epstein long ago if they had known of his conduct. Meanwhile, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie named Glenn Dubin as one of 14 individuals he characterized as Epstein co-conspirators who should face investigation.
