CRH Acquires NCC Industry Operations in Denmark and Finland
CRH agreed to acquire the Danish and Finnish operations of Swedish construction group NCC Industry to expand its Nordic infrastructure and aggregates portfolio.
Building materials company CRH has agreed to acquire the Danish and Finnish operations of Swedish construction group NCC Industry for an undisclosed amount. The deal includes a network of asphalt plants, land and marine-based aggregates sites, and reserve-backed hard-rock quarries.
CRH intends to use these assets to increase its exposure to major industrial and infrastructure projects across the Nordic market. Peter Buckley, President of CRH International, stated the acquisition is "strongly aligned with CRH’s strategy to build an aggregates-led, connected portfolio aligned with growing infrastructure megatrends."
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, with completion expected in 2027. This expansion follows a June agreement in which CRH committed to purchase US-based Arcosa for $8.5 billion. These moves are part of a broader five-year growth strategy led by CEO Jim Mintern to invest $28 billion in development.
