Apple Expands AppleCare One Subscription to Four New Markets

Apple Inc. is expanding its AppleCare One subscription service to the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Australia beginning August 4. The streamlined plan allows users to cover up to three eligible devices, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and Apple Watches, under a single monthly subscription.

In the United Kingdom, the service is priced at £16.99 per month for the first device and £4.99 for each additional device. The plan provides unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery replacements for units holding less than 80% charge, and 24/7 priority access to experts. Loss and theft coverage is now available for iPads and Apple Watches in the U.K., with a limit of three full device replacements per year across the account.

Departing from the standard 60-day purchase window for AppleCare+, AppleCare One allows customers to add devices up to four years old, provided the hardware is in good condition. The service also includes an automatic update mechanism for customers who trade in a covered device for a new product purchased directly from the company. Apple notes that customers covering three devices in the U.K. can save up to £11.48 per month compared to maintaining separate individual AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss plans.
