Google Adds Dynamic ANC and Olive Color to Pixel Buds

Google announced software updates for the Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Buds Pro 2, alongside the launch of the Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watch 5, and Pixel Tag. The updates, scheduled for a September rollout, introduce Dynamic ANC for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which automatically adjusts noise cancellation to compensate for shifts in the earbud seal.

New Gemini voice controls allow users to modify audio settings, such as boosting bass, hands-free. The company also expanded its Live Translate feature to support over 70 languages in near real time. Additionally, a sleep sync feature integrates with the Pixel Watch to automatically pause audio, disable touch controls, and mute notifications when the watch detects the user has fallen asleep.

A new Olive color variant for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, designed to match the Pixel 11 Pro, became available for order on August 12. This variant is priced at $189 through August 23.
