Croatia Producer Price Inflation Slows to 4.9 Percent

The Croatian Bureau of Statistics reported that producer price inflation slowed to 4.9 percent year-on-year in July. This represents the second consecutive monthly decline, following a 5.7 percent increase recorded in June.

Energy costs served as the primary driver of inflation, growing by 14.7 percent. Other sectors experienced more modest shifts, with intermediate goods rising by 2.4 percent and capital goods increasing by 0.7 percent. Non-durable consumer goods saw a slight decline of 0.1 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices fell by 0.2 percent in July, continuing a downward trend from a 0.3 percent drop in June. The data also highlighted a divergence between markets, with domestic market prices growing by 5.6 percent annually in May, while foreign market prices rose by 3.9 percent.
