Air Chief Marshal AP Singh Details Operation Sindoor Strikes
Air Chief Marshal AP Singh stated that Operation Sindoor validated the Indian Air Force's ability to strike any target across a 1,200 km front.
Air Chief Marshal AP Singh stated that Operation Sindoor demonstrated the Indian Air Force's ability to strike any target, following precision strikes across a front 1,200 km wide and 200 km deep. Launched in May 2025 in response to a terror attack in Pahalgam, the four-day operation targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied territories.
Singh described the mission as a validation of the IAF's capability-centric approach, which integrates aircraft, sensors, and networks to maximize effectiveness. He noted that indigenously developed weapons delivered crippling blows to the enemy, while India's networked air defence system successfully countered drones and stand-off weapons launched by the Pakistani military.
The operation is cited as the most significant cross-border military action by India since the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. Singh emphasized that the mission maintained zero collateral damage and reaffirmed the decisive role of air power as the nation's primary responder and strategic deterrent.
