Iran Increases Missile Range After US-Israel Conflict

The Iranian Army is expanding the range and precision of its missile arsenal following a series of conflicts with the United States and Israel.

The Military of Iran is working to increase the range of its missiles following a conflict with the United States and Israel. Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia stated the decision follows the deployment of enemy forces up to 1,000 kilometers from Iranian coasts. Akraminia noted that while Iran has already upgraded missile speed and precision, future generations will be faster and more accurate.

The current military buildup follows a conflict that began on February 28, when the United States and Israel launched joint attacks on Tehran and other Iranian cities. Iran responded with missile and drone strikes against Israel and U.S. assets. Although a ceasefire was reached on April 8 and a memorandum of understanding to end the war was signed on June 18, subsequent negotiations failed to produce a final agreement by the August 17 deadline.

Iran primarily possesses missiles with a range of up to 2,000 kilometers. While reports in March indicated an Iranian attack on a United Kingdom base on Diego Garcia Island, the Iranian government did not confirm those reports.
