Elections Canada announced application deadlines for special ballots in three federal by-elections covering the ridings of Beaches–East York in Ontario, Chicoutimi–Le Fjord in Quebec, and North Vancouver–Capilano in British Columbia.
Eligible Canadian citizens must apply to vote by mail or at a local office by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The agency noted that once an elector applies for a special ballot, they are prohibited from voting in person at advance polls or on election day.
All completed ballots must be returned to a local office or to the agency's headquarters by the time polls close on election day, Monday, August 31, 2026.
