Mount Kellet Ltd Proposes Six New Homes Near Chinnor

Mount Kellet Ltd applied to build six family homes on greenfield land near Chinnor, Oxfordshire, featuring sustainable heating and electric vehicle charging.

Mount Kellet Ltd submitted a planning application to the South Oxfordshire District Council to construct six family homes in the countryside near Chinnor, Oxfordshire. The proposed project would utilize vacant greenfield land previously used for farming, located off Lower Icknield Way.

The development plan specifies a cul-de-sac of three- and four-bedroom houses supported by a new access road, landscaping, and 14 parking spaces. To meet sustainability standards, each home will include an air source heat pump, potential solar panels, and an electric vehicle charging point. The developer notes that the existing access can be extended with little to no impact on the neighboring development or the highway.

This proposal extends a previous three-home development located to the north and aligns with a broader trend of residential growth in the area, where eight other proposals for 134 homes have already received approval. The South Oxfordshire District Council is reviewing the plans, and the public consultation period remains open until August 21.
