Hedge Funds Increase TSMC Holdings Amid Revenue Surge

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company sees increased adoption among elite investors following a 36 percent revenue jump and plans for chip price increases by 2027.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company appeared in 250 portfolios of elite hedge funds and billionaire investors by the end of the second quarter. This investment surge follows a 36 percent year-over-year revenue jump and a 77 percent increase in net income.

Fisher Asset Management is the largest holder with over 18.8 million shares. Other firms increasing their exposure include Third Point, which grew its position by 68 percent, and Duquesne Capital, which increased its holdings by 20 percent to make the company its second-largest holding. In contrast, ARK Investment Management reduced its position by 24 percent, and Coatue Management trimmed its holdings by 4 percent.

The company maintains a dominant market position with no real competitors below 5nm. Leveraging this advantage, the manufacturer plans to implement price increases of up to 10 percent for both advanced and mature node chips by 2027.
