Laudato Si’ Center Hosts Borgo Dialogues in New York

The Laudato Si’ Center for Higher Education is hosting the Borgo Dialogues from September 20 to September 23 in New York. The invitation-only gathering coincides with the 81st United Nations General Assembly and brings together leaders from business, finance, academia, faith, healthcare, sports, and international institutions.

Rooted in Catholic social teaching and papal encyclicals, the discussions focus on the common good, human dignity, and the transformation of work driven by artificial intelligence. The initiative began with an inaugural meeting at the Vatican in June and aims to design systems that protect the most vulnerable populations in an interconnected world.

The center intends to present proposals to the World Economic Forum based on the outcomes of these talks. Organizers describe the event as a space for courageous leadership and intellectual rigor intended to transform reflection into practical responsibility.
