DREO Recalls 375,000 Space Heaters Over Fire Hazards
DREO is recalling over 375,000 space heaters in the United States and Canada after reports of overheating, ignition, and one burn injury.
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and DREO announced a recall on October 29, 2026, for approximately 375,100 space heaters across North America. The recall affects model DR-HSH015 units manufactured between April 2025 and January 2026, including 338,800 units sold in the United States and 36,300 units sold in Canada.
Safety officials warned that the heaters can overheat and ignite. The action follows 17 reports of ignition, which resulted in three instances of property damage and one hand burn injury. The affected units are black, measure approximately 11.5 inches wide by 13 inches tall, and include a remote control. They were sold from September 2025 through October 2026 for $70 to $110 via Costco, Best Buy, Home Depot, Kohl's, Lowe's, QVC, and B2B Renew.
DREO is offering free replacement heaters to affected customers. To receive a replacement, consumers must unplug the device, destroy it by cutting the electrical cord, and provide photographic proof of the destruction.
