Microsoft Launches Copilot Super App for Enterprise Users

Microsoft unveiled a redesigned Copilot super app on September 25, 2026, consolidating its fragmented AI offerings into a single interface. The move marks a strategic exit from the personal AI chatbot market, ceding that space to competitors like Google and Meta to focus exclusively on corporate customers. The company aims to increase adoption among Office 365 customers, as fewer than 7% of its 450 million commercial seats currently license the AI addition.

The app features three primary tabs: Home, which integrates AI chat and a Cowork agentic feature; Code, which allows non-engineers to build apps using GitHub Copilot technology; and Autopilot, a rebranded version of Scout that acts as a persistent digital teammate. While the Home and Code tabs will roll out to early-access users in the coming weeks, Autopilot will enter private preview by the end of September.

Microsoft is shifting from a flat subscription model to a hybrid pricing structure. Users will pay a fixed monthly fee for standard chat and Office integration, while autonomous agentic capabilities in Cowork, Code, and Autopilot will be billed based on usage. The system allows users to select various models for coding, including those from OpenAI and Anthropic, though no Microsoft-native model is available for productivity requests in the Home tab.
