Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Settles Humana Antitrust Lawsuit for $15.28 Million

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA agreed to pay $15.28 million to settle antitrust litigation with Humana Inc. regarding generic drug price-fixing allegations.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA agreed to pay $15.28 million to settle antitrust litigation brought by Humana Inc. The settlement resolves three complaints filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania as part of consolidated litigation dating back to 2016.

Humana alleged that the pharmaceutical company engaged in price-fixing, market allocation, and other anti-competitive conduct involving generic pharmaceutical products. Glenmark USA denies all allegations of wrongdoing and stated that the settlement does not constitute an admission of liability.

The company will make the payment, which includes interest, in two installments. Glenmark USA noted that the amount was already accounted for in its financial statements and will not significantly impact its overall financial position.
