SAS Launches Nonstop Copenhagen to Mumbai Service
SAS will resume flights to India on October 1, 2026, with a new nonstop service between Copenhagen and Mumbai.
SAS will return to the Indian market after a 17-year absence by launching a year-round nonstop service between Copenhagen and Mumbai starting October 1, 2026. The airline will operate five weekly flights in each direction using an Airbus A330 with 266 seats.
Flight SK969 is scheduled to depart Copenhagen at 16:10 and arrive in Mumbai at 04:30 the following morning. The return flight, SK970, will depart Mumbai at 06:30 and arrive in Copenhagen at 12:15. The inaugural flight from Copenhagen departs October 1, with the first return service from Mumbai scheduled for October 3.
SAS is positioning Copenhagen as a connecting hub to facilitate travel between Mumbai and destinations across Scandinavia, Europe, and North American cities, including New York, Boston, and Toronto. The expansion coincides with the airline's 80th anniversary of international travel. Chief Commercial Officer Paul Verhagen described the route as an "extraordinary milestone" for the airline.
