Samsung Exynos 2700 Outperforms Qualcomm in Internal Benchmarks

Samsung Electronics reports that its upcoming Exynos 2700 processor outperforms Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in internal CPU and GPU tests.

Internal benchmark tests from Samsung Electronics indicate that the upcoming Exynos 2700 mobile processor outperforms Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in both CPU and GPU workloads. In Geekbench 6.5 multicore tests, the Exynos 2700 scored approximately 13,000 compared to 11,000 for the Snapdragon chip, representing a nearly 20 percent lead. The Samsung chip also showed a 15 percent advantage in Geekbench 7.0 multicore tests and a 20 percent lead in peak graphics performance during demanding gaming conditions.

Samsung intends to manufacture the processor using its second-generation 2-nanometer process (SF2P) and implement an upgraded Heat Pass Block packaging design to improve thermal management. The chipset is expected to debut in the Galaxy S27 series anticipated for 2027, though final allocation across models and regions remains unconfirmed.

These results remain unverified by independent testing. Some analysis suggests the internal results may be part of a promotional effort to undermine Qualcomm, noting that independent testing has previously indicated the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 possesses strong sustained performance due to its Offset PoP packaging. Real-world performance will ultimately depend on software optimization and power consumption.
