AMD Becomes First Woman-Led Company to Hit $1 Trillion

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) became the first company led by a female CEO to reach a $1 trillion market capitalization. The milestone followed a five-day rally that saw the company's share price increase by 25%, fueled by high demand for AI chips and the launch of the AI agent Muse by Meta Platforms Incorporated.

Lisa Su, who has led the company for 12 years, discussed the achievement during the Imperia summit, describing the milestone as "a pretty darn good moment." The valuation placed the semiconductor firm alongside other trillion-dollar businesses such as Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia.

Following the peak, AMD's market capitalization dropped to $984.4 billion due to a general decline in AI-related stocks. Despite the dip, the company remains the only woman-led firm to have ever entered the trillion-dollar valuation group.
