Numerica and SELCO Credit Unions Agree to Merger of Equals
Numerica Credit Union and SELCO Community Credit Union will merge to create an organization with nearly $8 billion in assets and 325,000 members.
Numerica Credit Union and SELCO Community Credit Union signed an agreement on October 28, 2026, to enter a merger of equals. The combined organization will operate under the Numerica Credit Union name, serving more than 325,000 members across Idaho, Oregon, and Washington with nearly $8 billion in assets and over 1,100 employees.
Carla Cicero, the current President and CEO of Numerica, will lead the combined entity. Bob Newcomb, President and CEO of SELCO, will manage the legal integration process before retiring. The merged organization will operate 38 locations and maintain SELCO's Oregon charter and Springfield headquarters as its primary base, while the Spokane Valley office will serve as a secondary headquarters.
Both executives stated there are no immediate plans to close branches or change member accounts, security, or services. The merger has received approval from both boards of directors but remains subject to regulatory approval and a vote by Numerica's membership. Legal integration is expected to conclude by early 2028, and the two institutions will operate independently until their systems are fully integrated.
