Amazon Integrates Bee AI Wearable to Expand Alexa Ecosystem

Amazon integrated AI startup Bee into its ecosystem to provide proactive ambient AI support for users outside the home.

Amazon.com integrated the AI hardware startup Bee into its ecosystem following an acquisition announced in July 2025. The company showcased Bee at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show, detailing the evolution of the $50 ambient AI wearable into a proactive second brain. The device, available as a clip-on pin or bracelet, records conversations to generate transcriptions, summaries, and to-do lists through a companion app.

New updates introduce actions that allow the wearable to draft emails and create calendar invites by linking to third-party services such as Gmail and Google Calendar. While Bee currently serves as a complementary tool for outdoor use, Amazon intends to merge its capabilities with Alexa's indoor focus.

Amazon Vice President Daniel Rausch stated that the integration aims to provide continuous AI support for customers throughout the day. Co-founder Maria de Lourdes Zollo noted that while Bee understands the environment outside the house and Alexa understands the inside, the two services will eventually converge.
