Israeli Army Conducts Bombing and Demolition Operations in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army conducted bombing and demolition operations across several towns and villages in southern Lebanon on August 14, 2026. The offensive utilized warplanes, drones, artillery shelling, and machine-gun fire, specifically targeting the Masha al-Mansouri, Majdal Zoun, Beit Yahoun, Haddatha, and Kounine areas. Israeli tanks also advanced toward Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil District.

These military actions persist despite a June 26 framework agreement sponsored by the United States. The agreement called for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army and the disarmament of armed groups, including Hezbollah.

Lebanese authorities report that since the offensive began on March 2, the conflict has resulted in 4,335 deaths and 12,277 injuries. More than 1 million residents have been displaced from their homes.
