Swiggy Appoints Former Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha to Lead Instamart
Swiggy appointed former Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha as the new head of its quick commerce arm Instamart, triggering a rally in the company's shares.
Swiggy Ltd. appointed Nandita Sinha, the former CEO of Myntra, as the Chief Executive Officer of its quick commerce business, Instamart. Sinha is scheduled to assume the role on August 3, 2026, replacing Amitesh Kumar Jha, who resigned to pursue other opportunities.
Investors responded favorably to the appointment, with Swiggy shares rising nearly 8% on Wednesday and rallying 15% over three sessions. The market confidence is attributed to Sinha's history of scaling digital consumer businesses and achieving EBITDA profitability during her tenure at Myntra.
The leadership change occurs as industry competitor Zepto faces valuation challenges. Reports indicate Zepto is negotiating its IPO pricing at a valuation of $2.5 billion to $3 billion, a steep decline from its previous $7 billion valuation, which may result in the company deferring its public listing.
