Bird.com Secures $450 Million to Expand Agentic AI Platform

Bird.com secured $450 million in debt financing to launch its Agentic Harness platform and expand operations within the United States.

AI communications infrastructure company Bird.com secured $450 million in debt financing to accelerate its expansion into the United States and support the launch of its Agentic Harness platform. The financing, led by J.P. Morgan, Capital One, and Citi, includes a $400 million term loan and a $50 million revolving credit facility structured as a dividend recapitalization to provide liquidity to shareholders.

The new Agentic Harness platform enables AI agents to independently manage emails, place calls, send messages, and obtain eSIM phone plans without human intervention or custom integration. The company reported a 2025 EBITDA of $165 million, which it attributes to an aggressive internal automation strategy. This shift reduced the company's headcount from over 1,000 employees to 120.

Shikha Goyal-Allain of J.P. Morgan stated that the financing reflects confidence in the company's fundamentals and its ability to run a profitable business through a lean operating model. The company aims to leverage this capital to scale its infrastructure as agentic AI continues to grow.
