IndiGo Extends Saudi Arabia Flight Cancellations Until November 14

IndiGo extended flight cancellations to four Saudi Arabian cities until November 14, 2026, citing airspace restrictions following Houthi missile and drone attacks.

IndiGo extended the cancellation of flights to and from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah until November 14, 2026. The airline cited ongoing airspace restrictions and security concerns, stating that passenger and crew safety is its top priority.

These disruptions follow a series of missile and drone attacks attributed to the Houthi movement. An October 10 attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh injured seven Indian nationals, while a more recent attack at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam killed one person and injured eight others.

Other Indian carriers, including Akasa Air, have also curtailed operations in the region. The suspensions have significantly impacted Indian nationals and Umrah pilgrims, leading the Consulate General of India in Jeddah to provide assistance and help travelers secure alternative arrangements.
