Sony Unveils Transparent Prism Collection for PlayStation 5

Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled the Prism Collection, a new line of transparent accessories for the PlayStation 5. The collection includes DualSense wireless controllers and matching console covers available in three colors: Flare Orange, Emerald Green, and Graphite Gray.

The designs feature a high-gloss, translucent finish intended to showcase the internal hardware and evoke electronics trends from the late 1990s and early 2000s. Design team member Leo Cardoso stated the goal was to bring back the see-through trend in a modern way that complements the industrial design of the console. Satoshi Aoyagi noted that the high-gloss finish and metallic middle cover create a premium appearance consistent with the current generation.

DualSense controllers are priced at $84.99, while console covers cost $74.99. Pre-orders begin November 10, 2026, followed by a global launch on February 4, 2027. Console covers will be sold primarily through PlayStation Direct in the United States and several European countries, with limited quantities available through other retailers.
