Czech Republic Provisionally Approves Tesla Full Self-Driving System

The Government of the Czech Republic provisionally approved Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) system on Monday, reversing its previous skepticism toward the technology. The decision followed a detailed evaluation by the ministry regarding driver oversight and the system's ability to comply with speed limits.

To reach this conclusion, the government reviewed operational data from other European nations and established safeguards to monitor the system's performance. Officials stated that "clarification of specific issues relating to the safety and operation of the system was crucial to the Czech Republic’s decision."

Tesla announced via the social media platform X that the rollout of FSD within the country will begin soon. This approval aligns the Czech Republic with other European regulators, including the Dutch regulator RDW, which granted provisional approval in April, as well as authorities in Slovenia and Estonia.
