China Hosts National Entrepreneurship Finals in Hefei

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and Anhui government hosted a national competition featuring 600 entrepreneurs showcasing AI and green-tech innovations.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Government of Anhui Province co-hosted the national finals of an entrepreneurship competition in Hefei, which concluded on August 1, 2026. Approximately 600 entrepreneurs presented innovations, including smart glasses, autonomous photovoltaic panel cleaning robots, and AI-driven digital replicas of traditional crafts.

The event serves as a showcase for China's national strategy to stimulate economic growth and employment by fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem. This framework provides training programs, incubation services, and financial incentives, including interest-subsidized loans that benefit over one million entrepreneurs annually.

Data from the Chinese Academy of Personnel Science indicates that China added an average of more than 10 million new business entities every year during the 14th Five-Year Plan period from 2021 to 2025. These policy supports are designed to increase startup success rates and establish a cycle of high-quality development across emerging industries.
