Hasan Piker Faces Backlash for Mocking Charlie Kirk
Streamer Hasan Piker sparked conservative outrage after singing an AI-generated song mocking the assassinated Charlie Kirk during a live tour performance.
Conservative commentators and political organizations are condemning streamer Hasan Piker after he performed an AI-generated meme song titled "We Are Charlie Kirk" during a live tour. The song was originally released in September 2025, shortly after the assassination of Charlie Kirk while he was speaking at Utah Valley University.
Video of the performance, which shows Piker's podcast co-hosts laughing on stage, circulated widely on X. Conservative streamer Lauren Chen described the act as shameful, noting that Piker and Kirk had previously maintained an amicable relationship.
Turning Point USA has formally denounced the performance. Spokesperson Andrew Kolvet characterized Piker's actions as "pure, unadulterated evil."
