Oman and Comoros Conclude Shujaa Al Sahil 1 Exercise

The Royal Army of Oman concluded a joint military exercise codenamed Shujaa Al Sahil 1, or Coastal Warrior 1, on September 23, 2026. The operation involved the Muscat Battalion, the Royal Air Force of Oman, and land forces from the Union of the Comoros.

Participating units used various training settings to simulate strategic roles based on established plans and objectives. The exercise culminated in a closing ceremony at a military training range in the Wilayat of Jabal Akhdar.

Major General Matar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman, attended the ceremony alongside the Commander of the Defence Force of the Union of the Comoros. Following the event, the two commanders met to discuss military matters of mutual interest.
