Enbridge to Acquire Salt Creek Midstream Assets for $600 Million

Enbridge Inc. signed a deal to acquire Salt Creek Midstream's crude oil gathering business for $600 million to expand its Permian Basin footprint.

Enbridge Inc. signed an agreement on August 26, 2026, to acquire the crude oil gathering business of Salt Creek Midstream for 600 million US dollars in cash. The transaction expands the pipeline operator's presence in the Permian Basin, specifically within the Delaware Basin of Texas and New Mexico.

The acquisition includes full ownership of the Orla and Wink North gathering systems and a 50 percent stake in the Delaware Crossing system. This adds approximately 800 kilometers of infrastructure serving more than 20 producers, with a combined throughput capacity of 420,000 barrels per day and storage capacity of 350,000 barrels.

Enbridge intends to use these assets to establish a direct link between Permian crude production and its Ingleside Energy Center, which is the largest crude export terminal in North America. Colin Gruending, Executive Vice-President and President of Enbridge Liquids Pipelines, stated the deal extends the company's presence in the Permian Basin.

The transaction is expected to close later in 2026. Enbridge projects the acquisition will be immediately accretive to its cash flow and earnings per share.
