NOW TV Removes App from Legacy Roku and Apple Devices

NOW is removing its streaming application from several legacy hardware devices across the United Kingdom following the decision by Roku to end support for older equipment. The app will cease to function on August 3, 2026, for the NOW TV Smart Box (model 4500SK), Roku Streaming Stick (model 3500X), and Roku model boxes 2700X, 2710X, and 2720.

A separate cut-off is scheduled for mid-July 2026 targeting older Apple devices. The app will no longer be supported on the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, and the first-generation iPhone SE because it no longer receives updates for iOS 15. Users are advised to update to iOS 16 where possible to maintain access.

Certain hardware remains unaffected, including the NOW TV Black Box (model 4200SK) and the Smart Box with 4K and Voice Search. Affected users can continue to access the service through web browsers or newer compatible hardware, such as Smart TVs, games consoles, or Fire TV sticks.
