Simultaneously, the city of Kingston opened advance polls on Friday, October 16, providing twelve designated locations for voters to cast ballots through Saturday.

In the United States, Wayne County began early voting for its November 3 general election. The Wayne County Board of Elections reported that 2,340 residents voted on the first day across three locations. Key contests include the race for the Board of Commissioners between Republican Kevin Johnson and Democrat Beatrice Jones, and a sheriff's race featuring incumbent Larry Pierce against Reggie Edwards.
