Nvidia maintains a dominant position in the artificial intelligence semiconductor market, controlling an estimated 80% to 90% of the total share. The company reported data center revenue of $75.2 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, marking a 92% increase over the previous year.
Nvidia specifically controls approximately 74% of the AI inference chip niche. While competitors Advanced Micro Devices and Qualcomm Inc. are expanding their footprints, they operate at a significantly smaller scale. AMD reported $6.7 billion in recent quarterly data center revenue, and Qualcomm Inc. has set a data center revenue target of $15 billion for fiscal 2029.
