InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. Appoints CFO Ahead of CEO Transition
InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. appointed Kiran Thadimarri as Chief Financial Officer as the airline prepares for incoming CEO William Walsh to take charge in August.
InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. appointed Kiran Thadimarri as its new Chief Financial Officer on July 27, 2026. Thadimarri, a Chartered Accountant and former Deputy CFO with over 24 years of experience, succeeds Gaurav Negi, who has been redesignated as an adviser to the managing director.
Rahul Bhatia, the managing director and interim CEO, is leading this leadership reorganization. Other recent senior appointments include Aloke Singh as chief strategy officer and Kanwal Jeet Singh Bakshi as chief human resources officer. These shifts precede the arrival of William Walsh, the outgoing IATA director general, who is scheduled to join as chief executive in the first week of August.
The reshuffle comes as the airline manages financial pressure, reporting a net loss of approximately ₹2.4 billion (₹238 crore) for the June quarter due to volatile fuel and operating costs. Despite these short-term losses, the carrier maintains its expansion goal of operating 550 aircraft by 2030 and continues its focus on international growth.
