Poll Shows Jon Ossoff Leading Georgia Senate Race
A Georgia voter poll shows Senator Jon Ossoff leading his Senate race and holding the highest support for a potential 2028 presidential bid.
A poll of 1,000 likely general election voters in Georgia indicates that Jon Ossoff currently leads Mike Collins in the race for the U.S. Senate. The survey, commissioned by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and conducted by the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs between October 7 and 15, also found the gubernatorial race between Bottoms and Jackson to be deadlocked.
Regarding potential 2028 presidential campaigns, 44% of likely voters favor a run by Ossoff, although the senator has stated he has "zero interest" in such a campaign. Governor Brian Kemp is evenly split among voters, with 47% favoring and 47% opposing a presidential bid, despite maintaining high approval for his performance as governor.
Other Georgia politicians face steeper challenges for a national run. Senator Raphael Warnock received mixed support, while Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene faced the highest levels of opposition, with only 11% of likely voters supporting a potential presidential bid from her.
