Oxford Township Residents Oppose Proposed AVAIO Digital Data Center

AVAIO Digital Management, LLC faced strong opposition from residents and local officials during a public meeting on Tuesday regarding its proposal to build a data center near the EHOVE Career Center in Oxford Township. Attendees verbally accosted company representatives, focusing their concerns on potential noise-induced hearing damage and the risk of increased local power and water utility costs.

In response to the protests, the company asserted that it would invest in the necessary utility infrastructure and implement specific measures to limit equipment noise. Representatives from the company acknowledged that they must earn community trust through increased transparency and the scheduling of additional public meetings.

The project's future depends on the Oxford Township trustees, who hold the final authority to decide whether the data center will be permitted.
