Real Brokerage and RE/MAX Shareholders Approve Merger
The Real Brokerage Inc. and RE/MAX Holdings securityholders approved a merger to create Real REMAX Group, a global real estate entity supporting 180,000 professionals.
The Real Brokerage Inc. and RE/MAX Holdings, Inc. received securityholder approval on August 14, 2026, to proceed with a merger that will create a new holding company called Real REMAX Group. The deal combines the technology-driven platform of Real with the global franchise network of RE/MAX.
Shareholder support for the acquisition was strong, with approximately 99% of Real shareholders and 78.8% of RE/MAX Holdings common stock voting power voting in favor. The resulting entity is expected to support more than 180,000 real estate professionals across 120 countries, with projected 2025 pro forma revenue of approximately $2.3 billion.
Tamir Poleg, Chairman and CEO of Real, stated that the combined scale and resources would allow the company to invest more and build faster. RE/MAX Holdings CEO Erik Carlson described the vote as an important milestone for the franchise owners and the broader network. The transaction now awaits final approval from the Supreme Court of British Columbia and is expected to close within a few weeks.
